The OCTS-Lincoln-Northside Alumni Association Museum will be located inside the new Lincoln Center Building in Chapel Hill, NC. The museum space is the result of a collaboration begun in 2015 between the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools and the OCTS Lincoln Alumni Association and was approved by the citizens of Orange County in a 2016 Orange County Bond Referendum. Programming for the museum will be funded with public and private funds to ensure continuity and accessibility to the public. The alumni of OCTS, Lincoln and representatives of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools envision a space to acknowledge, explore and share African American history and to recognize the history and contributions of the African American citizens in Chapel Hill and Carrboro who came from these historic, segregated schools.
