When we reflect on the true meaning of Thanksgiving, it brings to mind all of the blessings and comfort that we enjoy and how grateful we are to receive them. Sadly, a great number of people in our community have really been feeling the effects of the economy and other factors which make it difficult to get by. Thankfully however, for the majority of us, it could be worse. So in this vein, let's once again think about the members in our community to whom we may provide some assistance.

On Thursday, November 27, 2014, The Alumni Association will once again, pack and deliver food to members in our community. Our efforts were well received and greatly appreciated last year and we had a great time with this labor of love. Hot meals consisting of turkey and all of the trimmings, will be distribed at Hargraves Center starting at 8:00 AM. We are asking that each class donate $100.00 to this noble cause. If your class has not done so already, for record-keeping purposes, please make checks or money orders only payable to: The O.C.T.S - Lincoln High School Northside Alumni Association. Please contact Jim Merritt to see how else you may help. We are trying to have lots of volunteers once again this year to assist in our efforts. Trust me - you will get a really nice, giddy feeling and have lots of fun!!
